AMY C.
SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER – China
Jogger enjoying the scenery along the way.
For six years, Amy has been an avid jogger, ending every run by saying, “What a nice new day! Tomorrow will be better.”
This optimistic can-do spirit also led Amy to take a hard look at company training manuals that were translated from English to Chinese and say, “I can do better.”
And she did. Amy took the personal initiative to improve the quality of these materials. She turned the hard-to-understand into the understandable – and thereby into the useful.
“I spent time reviewing the materials to make them easier to understand and more accurate.”
Her effort resulted in improvements of translation quality, and ultimately a more efficient, more aligned, more productive work protocol.
“That is my value: to help make colleagues’ lives easier by sharing what I know and what I have.”
