In our business, we are constantly looking to streamline our operations and deliver greater value to our customers, which is why Lean is such an integral function within Energizer Holdings. Lean is a Management System that focuses on improving the efficiency of all processes and operations. It determines the most effective ways to deliver what the customer needs, when it is needed, with the highest quality and the lowest total cost. As a member of our Lean group, you’ll rapidly become an expert in recognizing and rectifying areas of waste and inefficiency throughout the company. And you’ll receive the invaluable experience of working with virtually every Energizer function in the process.
There are two core universal values of Lean. First is an emphasis on continuous improvement – to find problems, brainstorm solutions, experiment with those solutions and then make them part of our standard working ways. Our colleagues are encouraged to be on the lookout for ways to derive better solutions, put them into practice and own the results. And managers are mindful to always help find problems and provide resources for improvement. [PAGEBREAK]
Second, and equally as important: respect for people is paramount. Lean interacts with a wide range of populations, including our community, colleagues, stakeholders, and suppliers. And we strive to create win/win relationships with them all. This is achieved by increasing responsibility, ownership and accountability across all areas and functions.
