Peter J. Conrad
VP, Human Resources, Energizer Holdings, Inc.
One of the things that impresses Peter most about Energizer Holdings is the unified culture. Even throughout the rapid acquisition and growth experienced in recent years, Peter’s found that our people are universally respected regardless of title or tenure. In fact, our culture is one of the reasons Peter feels colleagues have been able to experience such fulfilling careers at Energizer.
A valued resource.
Peter has been Vice President, Human Resources of Energizer Holdings since March, 2000. He joined Eveready Battery Company, Inc. in 1997, and prior to his current position, served there as Vice President, Human Resources from 1997 to 2000. Peter served as Vice President, Human Resources for Protein Technologies International, Inc., a former subsidiary of Ralston Purina Company, from 1995 to 1997.
More collaboration, more opportunities.
Another aspect to the culture Peter often points out is the emphasis on informal, team-based problem-solving. Working together, people have the ability to make decisions and get a broader exposure to different facets of the company.
But it’s also a culture that respects people as individuals, providing them the autonomy, flexibility and opportunities to grow and excel, both personally and professionally. And, as the leader of the HR function, a culture that gives people more opportunity to grow and more reasons to stay makes the company much stronger – and his job much easier.
